Angela Fuller (1996 winner), currently Concertmaster, Houston SymphonyThe winner of the Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies, Inc. Competition will be a guest soloist with the Chautauqua Music School Festival Orchestra in 2009 and will receive a $1,000 prize for the performance and transportation to Chautauqua.
The Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies, Inc. Competition rotates annually among the three departments, this year (2008) the competition will be held within the Instrumental Department.
The deadline to apply is by the end of the first week of the season (June 28, 2008).
Below is the approved repertoire for each instrument.
