Requirements for Instrumental Program

  1. Live, DVD or CD auditions accepted. Apply at least 10 days before scheduled live audition to receive an audition time or submit application on site for walk-in status.

    Application deadline: March 1.

  2. Late DVDs or CDs may be accepted if appropriate vacancies exist.
  3. String applicants: a movement from a standard concerto and orchestral excerpts.
  4. Wind, brass, percussion: solo piece and orchestral excerpts.
  5. DVD or CD auditions: record suggested orchestral excerpts at the beginning of the DVD or CD and the solo piece at the end of the DVD or CD.
  6. Percussionists are encouraged to audition via DVD. Not all audition sites will accommodate percussion auditions.
